Current Projects:

US-181 Harbor Bridge Project

The project has officially kicked off for construction.  Civilcorp is very pleased to be an integral part of this construction project. We are sub-consultants to Figg Engineering which is the Bridge Design Engineers for Flatiron Dragados Joint Venture.  We will be handling all the preliminary engineering surveying for the project. 
This will consist of all Project Control Verification, Graphics Verification, Right of Way Surveying, Utility Surveying and Geotech Surveying.  We will be also handling any design verification that deals with drainage or structures.  We are presently working on the Control Verification, Utility Surveying, Geotech boring surveying and Right of Way Surveying.  This is scheduled as a 5-year project and we are looking forward to being part of this historic development.  This project was begun in January of 2016 and is currently under construction.

University of Houston Ben Wilson Corridor Study

Sub consultant to Freese and Nichols to evaluate  needs, analyze conditions and recommend treatmnts along the Ben Wilson Street corridor. 
CivilCorp’s professional services included assisting the prime consultant with local engineering support and development of the base map for the corridor study. The survey base mapping included providing a base map depicting all improvements on the corridor including future building and entrances.  Visible utilities and underground municipal utilities were mapped for project costing.  Final base map included all utilities and roadway features.This will consist of all Project Control Verification, Graphics Verification, Right of Way Surveying, Utility Surveying and Geotech Surveying.  We will be also handling any design verification that deals with drainage or structures.  We are presently working on the Control Verification, Utility Surveying, Geotech boring surveying and Right of Way Surveying.  This is scheduled as a 5-year project and we are looking forward to being part of this historic development.  This project was begun in January of 2016 and is currently under construction.

Liquid Oil Dock #2 Victoria County Navigation District

CivilCorp provided Engineering, Surveying, and Construction Management services for a liquid oil dock for the Victoria County Navigation District. Responsibilities included design and preparation of contract documents, US Army Corps of Engineers permitting and coordination, procurement of construction services, construction administration, and additional support services.

This project included construction of a new 4,941 Square Foot Liquid Dock platform and barge berthing area.  Project scope included dredging, timber pile mooring structures, a dock fender system, and two (2) 2,500 lb. capacity hydraulic cranes. Other site improvements consisted of a field house, extension of potable water service, accommodations for a future fire suppression system, area lighting, and electrical service.

Fairgrounds Road - Midland - CEI

The recent construction improvements increase capacity on Fairgrounds Road from the original two lanes to a five lane curb and gutter section for a distance of approximately 1.3 miles — from Pecan Avenue to Loop 250.

This project includes sidewalks on both sides of Fairgrounds Road between Pecan and Wadley, in addition to new traffic signals, cross walks and pedestrian ramps at the Fairgrounds Road and Wadley Avenue intersection will make the area safer and more accessible for pedestrians.

CivilCorp provided comprehensive construction engineering services, which include inspecting work in progress, keeping and maintaining accurate project records, inspecting SWPPP installations and BMPs, and performing job control testing meeting the minimum sampling frequencies.  We performed document control activities, monitor project scheduling, and created and negotiated change orders according to TxDot requirements.   We oversaw and ensured all work was administered in accordance with contract specifications, state and federal laws, and TxDot policy.  Civilcorp worked closely with Txdot and the City of Midland to successfully complete the project.
